How do I get to your office? And what are your opening times?
You can find our office at the bottom of Fore Street in Kingsand opposite the Halfway Inn pub on the corner opposite the car park. We share our office with Brunel Estate agents. We are open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 3pm on Saturdays.
What time can we check in from?
You can check in to our cottages from 3pm on the arrival day you have booked and should vacate by 10am on departure day.
Where should we collect keys if we arrive after the office has closed?
Instructions on check in will be sent through to you prior to your visit.
Why is check in usually on a Friday?
Most of our properties have a check in on a Friday so if you are going to a wedding at one of the beautiful wedding venues in the area over a weekend, you have somewhere to get ready.
Are there individual house rules?
House rules can be found on the property details and a reminder will be sent through with details prior to your visit.
Are linen & towels provided?
All linen and towels will be provided. How many will depend on how many guests will be staying at the property.
When do I need to pay a deposit and how much?
A deposit of 30% is due when booking the property then the remaining balance will be due 10 weeks before the holiday.If booked within the 10 weeks before your stay, then the whole balance will be due.
Why do I have to pay a security deposit? And how much is it?
Most owners request a security deposit when booking their property. This will be included in the property description and to cover any losses, breakages or damage that occur during your stay and any additional cleaning costs that may be incurred by the owner, as a result of your stay. It will be returned to you if everything is left how you found it. It is your responsibility to check the equipment in the property when you arrive and notify Forgotten Corner of any issues. The cost of the security deposit will differ on each property.
Can I check in earlier than 3pm?
Some properties may allow early check in, best to check With Forgotten Corner in advance so that the cleaner who is doing the changeover can be asked if they are likely to be finished early.
Can I book a short break?
Between October and April there will be opportunity for short beaks in some of our properties.Prices are based on a minimum stay of 3 nights and normally start from:
- 3 nights 80% of the property’s full weekly price
- 4 nights 90% of the property’s full weekly price
- 5+ nights are at the full weekly rental
Is there is an emergency contact number?
Yes, once you have made your booking you will be provided with a number to call out of hours whilst you are staying at your property.
Will I be able to park outside my holiday home?
Some of our properties have parking however most are on narrow Cornish streets so don’t.Details on the nearest parking facilities will be send prior to your visit.
Do your properties allow dogs?
Many of our holiday properties will welcome one dog. There is often a small additional charge for your dog(s). See the property description for details.
Please remember that dogs should not be left unattended in properties and that they must remain downstairs and off furniture.You, as pet owner, will be responsible for removing any evidence left by your pet and reimbursing the owner for any damage caused. Please note that if a property is shown to have an ‘enclosed’ garden, this does not necessarily mean that it is secure for your pet as it may be enclosed by hedging or open style fencing.
Can I smoke in my property?
No smoking is not permitted in any of our properties.
