Tucked away along a peaceful, lane in the heart of Kingsand, Chough Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom retreat, perfect for families, couples and their four-legged companions looking to enjoy a relaxing Cornish getaway.
Full of character and coastal charm, this beautifully presented cottage is arranged over three floors, with a unique layout designed to make the most of its wonderful seaside setting. Just a short stroll from the beach and South West Coast Path, it's an ideal base for exploring Cornwall's stunning coastline, discovering hidden coves and enjoying the slower pace of village life.
The first floor is home to a bright and welcoming open-plan living space, where the sitting room, dining area and kitchen come together to create a lovely setting for spending time with family and friends. Large windows frame far-reaching views across the sea, providing the perfect backdrop for a leisurely breakfast. Binoculars are thoughtfully provided so guests can make the most of the coastal scenery.
On the ground floor, guests will find two inviting bedrooms. The property features a double bedroom and a second bedroom with twin single beds, making it ideal for families or friends sharing. A convenient cloakroom with WC and washbasin is also located on this level.
Downstairs, the lower ground floor features a spacious bathroom with a freestanding bath, separate shower and washbasin. A washer-dryer is also available for guests' convenience.
Chough Cottage enjoys a fantastic position in Kingsand, one of Cornwall's most picturesque coastal villages. With its colourful cottages, narrow streets, traditional pubs and welcoming atmosphere, the village offers an authentic taste of Cornish seaside life.
The beach is just a couple of minutes' walk away, perfect for morning swims, rock pooling or simply relaxing beside the water. The nearby South West Coast Path offers spectacular walks along the Rame Peninsula, with breathtaking views across Plymouth Sound and the surrounding coastline.
For a memorable day out, visit the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, with its extensive parkland, woodland walks and formal gardens. Alternatively, take the seasonal passenger ferry across to Plymouth to explore its historic waterfront, shops and attractions.
Parking is available in a public car park approximately 200 yards away. Guests can unload luggage approximately 30 yards from the cottage. As the property is arranged over three floors with several staircases. It may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

The first floor provides a spacious double bedroom and a twin room, both boasting shower en-suites.
Located in the village centre just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, village shops and all the best pubs and restaurants.
As Kingsand is a historic village there is very little private parking and there is no private parking at the cottage. However, you can easily park and load/unload directly outside the cottage and the public pay and display carpark is less than a three-minute walk.

Set over two floors, the cottage provides a wonderful entertaining space on the ground floor with a semi open plan living room/kitchen and accommodation for up to four guests on the first floor.
The living room with exposed stone walls is a light and welcoming space with smart tv, which leads up a step to the modern and functional kitchen space with table and chairs.
The bathroom is conveniently located on the ground floor and benefits from a bath with over-head shower, enabling you to warm up as soon as you get in from that refreshing dip in the sea or long coastal hike.
The accommodation is set across the first floor, with a double bedroom with feature fireplace. The bunk room is suitable for children or adults alike, making Rose Cottage the perfect destination for couples or small families.
This cottage is in a great location for a holiday or short break, whatever time of year.
Rose Cottage is situated amongst the picturesque narrow streets of central Kingsand, and only a short walk to the golden beaches, traditional pubs, and reputed restaurants that make this area Cornwall’s best kept secret.
