Chinery- Smith Cottage, a beautifully renovated 17th-century cottage situated in the heart of Cawsand; set upon the narrow street where Smugglers once lived. You are only a short stroll from Cawsand beach and the wonderful collection of cafes, pubs and shops that are located within this historic fishing village.


This ultra cosy home offers; two double bedrooms with shower en-suites and a twin bedroom, with a bathroom next door. A comfy living room with log burner and a large modern fitted kitchen / dining with table and chairs and an Aga. There is a private courtyard with a gas barbeque and further patio area; found up and over some shared steps leading to a raised area with an incredible vista. Where you can relax, looking at the views over Cawsand Bay.

Ground floor

You enter the cottage into a gorgeous living room with a large Smart Television and log burner. The perfect space to chill out and relax at the end of a great day in this beautiful corner of Cornwall. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the latest appliances, Aga, stove, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a large table and chairs that sits up to six guests. Making it a perfect social space for the whole family.

First floor

The first floor has three beds and can host four guests across two bedrooms: a twin bedroom with views on to the narrow street below and a beautifully decorated double bedroom with shower en-suite. A separate bathroom with roll top bath, hand basin, heated towel rail and w/c is also on this floor.

Second floor

A stunning spacious principal room with double bed, exposed beams, and shower en-suite. A handy desk is also here in case you need to work remotely.

Nestled along the Rame Peninsula in South Eastern Cornwall, lies the charming village of Cawsand. Paired with its adjoining twin village of Kingsand they form a captivating destination for those seeking a tranquil escape amidst stunning coastal scenery. Cawsand boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century, and is well known for past fishing and smuggling heritage. Today, the village exudes a timeless appeal, its narrow-cobbled streets lined with quaint cottages, traditional pubs, and vibrant art gallery.

Additional Information

Clean linen and towels will be provided within the total price. (Please bring your beach towels). The property has Wi-Fi.

One well behaved dog welcome for an additional £25.00 fee. Chinery- Smith Cottage operates a Saturday - Saturday changeover.

5% off food and drink at The Cross Keys Inn (less than a minutes’ walk away) for all guests!

Short stays

Don't forget the unique three-night short stays provided by Chinery- Smith Cottage available between September and April (excluding school holidays.)

Refundable security deposit

Please note that a deposit of £250.00 will be held one day before check-in then returned four days after check-out providing no damages to the property and/or its contents have occurred.
